Fully Licensed and Insured
Because your home is most likely one of the largest investments you own, protecting it should be at the top of your list. It is important to hire only licensed, bonded and insured contractors to work on your home. Choosing to use a company that fails to meet these criteria could lead you to regret your decision should something go wrong with your job. Greener Solutions Heat and AC is a licensed, bonded and insured company so you can rest assured when we do work at your home your investment is protected.
What Does It Mean to Be Licensed and Bonded?
In the state of California, a license is required to do any type of skilled labor on another person’s home or property. In order to obtain a license, the professional must submit an application and pass an examination. When a contractor is bonded, this means they have purchased a surety bond. This is a type of insurance policy that protects the property owner. The bond allows a certain amount of liability protection and if the contractor fails to complete a job as required or contracted, the bond can provide compensation to a property owner.
Why Is It Important to Be Insured?
If a service worker is does not have insurance and causes damage on the homeowner's property, unfortunately the homeowner may be on the hook to pay for it. The same is true if an uninsured worker is injured. For added protection, any company you deal with should always be insured. Your HVAC contractor should be able to provide you with proof of general liability insurance in the state of California.
